I beleive the problem is called "nice spring weather", though it's been
kind of wet, and now cold here. It's just one of the occasional lulls in
the newsgroup.

What ever happened to rec.test? Isn't that where you are supposed to
send test messages?

At least in the old Usenet days it was...

"You moron." That's a little harsh isn't it, tough guy? Somebody piss in your Cheerios today?. I'm certainly not an expert on newsgroups. But I'm also not a "keyboard warrior" who likes to toss around epithets from the safety of his computer, but completely lacks the stones to stand on his hind legs and say it in person to the man. Just once,_one time_, I'd like to meet one of you "keyboard warriors" in person.

Not in the slightest.
You're obviously not aware of his history on this news group.

Yes, flame proof clothing is a necessity on Usenet. Not all are as nice
as r.a.r&p.

The prosecution rests. Just another gutless "keyboard warrior". Civil discourse is long dead in this country.

Me, aka Asynchronousman, Skippy and Showalter has been a
carbuncle on the ass of humanity here in this news group
for the past 15 years or so.

He has almost no knowledge about vintage radios, but he
usually has some pointless addition he has to share with
us. He has also tried (unsuccessfully) to cause problems
with the personal lives of others in this news group.

Having him here in the newsgroup is like walking down the
sidewalk. You know sooner or later you're going to step in
dog shit.

Somebody had to break the ice.
Who reads rec.test?
In the old days, and I'm not sure it still happens, someone ran a bot to
automatically reply to test messages, so you would get a response.

To get my real email address, replace wrongname with dadoheadman.
Then replace nospam with fastmail. Lastly, replace com with us.

The "Cabal" has been removing dead newsgroups, but I can't see a time when
they'd ever remove .test newsgroups.

But as I said, I don't know if the bot is still running that automatically
sent email to anyone posting in the main .test newsgroup.
