Eico made 5 probes. They were all color coded.

= Scope Probe =

EICO PDW Scope - Direct Probe - Yellow
EICO PLC Scope - Low Capacity - Red
EICO PSD Scope - Demodulator - Green

= VTVM Probe =

EICO VTVM - RF Probe PRF - Blue
EICO VTVM - Peak to Peak PTP (Model PTP-11 or PTP-25 (color unknown)

This PTP one seems to be rare, and I can not find out what color they
were. I googled (images) and could not even find a picture.

Anyone know?

Thanks for the url. I did find a lot of useful info on that site.
However, not the color. I already have a PDF file that has the schematic
for all 5 of these probes. and could build them fairly easily. However
since I own and like Eico gear, I will continue to look for their
original probes, and hope to get the whole set.

They also had a high voltage probe, made mostly for measuring television
HV to a CRT, and I do have one of those but doubt I will ever need it,
since I do not work on old tv sets. Few people seem to want old CRT tv's
these days.

I also believe they later made a probe called a "Uni probe". I have yet
to find out the purpose for that one...

I will say that in my opinion, Eico had some of the best probes ever
made. They were well made, easy to repair, and fit nicely in the hand.
Plus the color coding made them easy to select.

(I just saved all the graphic files from that web URL. Lots of valuable
info there).

Here are three files which cover various Eico probes, including the Uni-

was a VTVM probe with a built in switch for the 1M resistor so it could
be used for AC or DC volts (assuming the meter used the same connector
for both). It had a black body with a red tip. The tip rotated to
operate the switch and had embossed lettering filled with white to
indicate which position it was in.

To get my real email address, replace wrongname with dadoheadman.
Then replace nospam with fastmail. Lastly, replace com with us.

That's the "White one."
You pull on the round nose and give it a 1/2 turn with a
marker at "Volts" or at "Ohms."

At ohms it was direct, at volts it had the appropriate
series resistor.
